Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Adams, of Dixon’s Corners, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at their home on Saturday, April 23. The happy couple were married by the late Rev. A.S. Cleland on April 23, 1915 at the home of the bride’s sister Mrs. Arthur Adams at Mainsville.

During the afternoon and evening they were at home to many friends, relatives, and neighbours and greeted those who came to call to extend their best wishes and congratulations to the happy couple.

Celebrating with their parents for the happy occasion were their children Irwin, of Mainsville; Delmar, of Dixon’s Corners; Mrs. John Haklane(Irene) of Iroquois, and their families including their twelve grandchildren.

The couple were recipients of many beautiful gifts from friends, relatives, and neighbours. Messages of congratulations were received from Dr. Hon. John Diefenbaker, Mrs. Jean Wadds, M.P., and Fred Cass, M.P.P., and Mrs. Cass.

A commemorative scroll was also forwarded from the Ontario government.

A lot of cards were received with messages of congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Adams on their 50th anniversary.
