Veteran Employee at Paper Mills is Laid to Rest
Funeral Thursday of Stephen J. Wood Who Died On Tuesday Last
The funeral of Stephen J. Wood, veteran employee of Howard Smith Paper Mills, who passed away on Tuesday morning was held from his residence, 52 Pitt street to Woodlawn cemetery, Thursday afternoon. Rev. Frank Coop conducted the service. Pall-bearers were W.B. Newton, E.W. Devitt, J.F. Abbott, T.W. Ault, B. Eastman, and Fred Wattie.
Among those present from a distance were W.H. Wood, of Turner’s Falls, Massachusetts; A.S. Wood, of Cleveland, Ohio; Robert O’Neil, of Hull, Quebec; and Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Kelly of Hull.
