Married for 55 years

Jim and Muriel(Burnside) York were married April 18, 1936 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Cardinal. Rev. Robert Booth officiated. Attendants were William York, father of the groom, and Margaret Adams. They have lived all their married lives at Shanley near Spencerville. Mr. and Mrs. York operated a dairy farm until retirement a few years ago. They have three children: Mrs. Mary Simzer of Brockville, George York of Shanly, and Mrs. Connie Cinnamon of Winchester. They have seven grand children and one great-granchild.
